If you’ve heard any Israeli-Palestinian-related news in the past few years, chances are you’ve heard about Settlements. Settlements are a very important part of this conflict, and in my opinion, a significant barrier to any peace agreements.

On Friday, 14 of 15 members of the UN Security Council voted in favor of adopting a draft resolution which would verify the illegality of Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT).

Guess what?  The Middle East peace is pretty complicated!  As Kristin Hissong wrote in 2 Steps Forward, 3 Steps Back, it’s laughable to think that a Palestinian State is inevitable (whether through negotiations or not).
